Hometown: Mooresville, NC

DJ majored in Communication Studies with a concentration in Media and Technology with minors in Theatre and French. DJ completed two LSP summer study abroad programs: San José, Costa Rica and Stellenbosch, South Africa. He also spent a semester abroad in Cannes, France, where he interned at the International Cannes Film Festival as a journalist. DJ enjoys theatrical design and technology. He worked as an electrician for UNC Charlotte’s Performing Arts Services and served as the lighting designer for multiple shows. For his pre-professional experience, DJ was the summer lighting intern at The Naples Players in Naples, Florida. He plans to continue exploring and working in the technical theatre industry, particularly as a lighting designer for dance, theatre and musicals.
