Ellie majored in Political Science, Economics and Sociology with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. She pursued a variety of her interests through interning at Opera Carolina, assisting with the 2022 Election Science, the Reform and Administration Conference and researching gender and interruptions on the U.S. Supreme Court. Ellie was also selected as a participant in the U.S. State Department’s Critical Language Scholarship program where she studied Mandarin Chinese at Tamkang University in Taiwan. Furthering her interest in Asia, Ellie completed her pre-professional internship in Singapore working with startups in the entrepreneurship ecosystem and building global connections. At Charlotte, Ellie was involved in the Chinese Undergraduate Student Association, served as a Niner Guide, was a member of the Charlotte Mock Trial team and worked in the Costume Shop.
