Tara is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and is also studying Spanish to achieve an undergraduate certificate for Spanish-English translation. After her nonprofit with ourBRIDGE for Kids, she has continued working with them in efforts to provide a safe and welcoming after school program for immigrant and refugee children in Charlotte. She hopes to work closely with ourBRIDGE for Kids for her civic engagement project to continue expansion efforts and renovations. On campus she is a Niner Guide for Undergraduate Admissions and is getting involved with the UNCC chapter of Healthcare Justice NC. She studied abroad in South Africa the summer after her first year, and she would like to travel again to a Spanish speaking country. She hopes to work with prosthetics and rehabilitation after graduation, but is keeping an open mind for her career path.
